      About Equus Film & Arts Fest

      Our Story

      Founded in 2012, the EQUUS Film & Arts Fest was born out of a passion for horse related films and documentaries and a desire to create a platform for emerging filmmakers to showcase their work. Over the years, we have grown into one of the most respected and exciting film festivals in the world, attracting filmmakers and film lovers from all corners of the globe.

Our programming team works tirelessly to curate a diverse and exciting lineup that showcases the best in independent cinema, from feature-length dramas to interesting shorts.

        Lisa Diersen is an equestrian; riding since she could sit in a saddle, Diersen has a great appreciation for all types of equestrian disciplines. She is the Founder and Director of the EQUUS Film & Arts Fest
